Lately I’ve been working hard to update my portfolio for my new website that will be launching early December if all goes according to plan. I am now the proud owner and principal designer of my own company Bryony Wright Design. I must say it’s good to be the boss. I’m so looking forward to the journey ahead of me….and it’s going to be a journey!
I thought I would give you a sneak peak of what I’ve been working on and show you one of the kitchens in my new portfolio. This kitchen will be in a home largely influenced by Scandinavian design. As you know from one of my recent posts I am completely in love with this style! It will be a neutral palate of black and white, warmed up with natural wood tones. Below is the inspiration board I put together. Aren’t all of these kitchens just gorgeous. Some top notch design right there. I always start all of my projects with an inspiration board. It is a key part of the process that helps me take elements from other successful projects and combine them to create something unique.

After nailing down the style I was going for I started researching for the furniture, finishes, and fixtures that would bring my ideas to life. Below you can see some of the elements I specified for the kitchen. My favourite elements so far are the black casings on the windows and doors, the coppery gold pendant lights, and the calacatta marble backsplash. I can’t wait for everyone to see the final design!
